Young Artist Auditions
Each year, Young Artist Audition Recitals are held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Longview in February. The audition recital is open to the public. The winning artist performs at the Symphony’s Spring Concert and are awarded the Lee and Dick Wollenberg Scholarship.
AND THE WINNER IS
Carrie Gradin is the winner of the auditions. Congratulations. She will be playing with the symphony on the April 13 concert. She will perform "Concertino for Clarinet" by Carl Maria von Weber. Carrie is the daughter of Dan and Sally Gradin. She is a senior at Kelso High School and attends the Running Start program at LCC. She spent her childhood in Nairobi, Kenya as the daughter of a doctor who serviced the needs of the poor all over East Africa. She will be attending George Fox University where she plans to major in social work. Her current teacher is Dick Uthmann.
