The Auxiliary

The SWWS Auxiliary was founded in 1977 to support the symphony. The first meeting was held at the home of Lee Wollenberg.

Each year at the Young Artist Concert, the Auxiliary awards a scholarship to help further the music education of the selected Young Artist.

Currently the Auxiliary provides a reception for the Young Artist Auditions, bouquets for the guest artists, batons for the guest conductors, manages the Merry Chair and Battle for the Baton projects, and sells See’s Candy during Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter times.

Merry Chairs!
Enjoy a concert from the flip side! The Symphony Auxiliary is offering (for a minimum $50 donation) a Merry Chair IN THE ORCHESTRA with REAL SURROUND SOUND and a chance to watch the conductor face to face! Seats are limited, so now is the time to reserve your Merry Chair for a season 51 concert. Contact Merry Lloyd 503-556-2524. merry@clear-lake.com

Battle for the Baton
Do you ever dream of conducting a symphony orchestra, or know someone who does? Participate in a great scholarship fundraiser for deserving young musicians.

Auxiliary meetings are held September through May.  New members are always welcome. For information, contact Pauly McClelland, 360-423-6165    paulymc@comcast.net
